Business Analyst Renewable Energy

Our client, active in the field of renewable energy advisory & investments, is looking for a Business Analist (1-2,5 years of experience) to strenthen their team. You will be given a lot of responsibility and learn to do the job as a professional from day one (training on the job). You will work in a team and have regular contact with clients in an international context.

The Analyst will provide support to the Team under direct supervision of an Investment Manager. The key focus will be on modelling financial aspects of renewable energy projects, drafting investment proposals and business plans, preparing client presentations and providing the Team with market research. An Analyst may progress to more complex aspects of transaction closing, progressively gaining more responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
- Financial aspects of renewable energy projects, including financial analysis (data gathering, modelling and analysis of financial projections);
- Draft approval papers, business plans, client presentations and correspondence;
- Participate in project implementation, including administrative and analytical support;
- Research, analyze and provide background information on the renewable energy market;
- Attend meetings with clients together with Team members.

- Relevant degree from a leading university (business administration, economics, finance or a technical background);
- 1 to 2,5 years of relevant and commercial work experience (e.g. banking, finance, accounting, audit or project finance) gained from a major commercial/investment bank, equity fund, advisory services, corporate finance firm or other international financial institutions;
- This position is an opportunity for a junior candidate to develop into an Investment Manager position and over qualified candidates will not be considered;
- Proven analytical skills; strong numerical and financial skills, with ability to interpret financial information and to design, build and use financial models;
- Computer literacy, excellent Excel and Power Point skills;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in Dutch and English. Other languages (Spanish, French and German), although not required, are an advantage.

Salary is market conform with emphasis on a substantial discretionary bonus when company and candidate perform.
