Senior Financial Accountant

ExSilent has two offices where we work with 25 committed people. Our backgrounds and experience are very varied. Our headquarters are in Amsterdam (NL) with R&D, product development, operations, marketing, sales, fulfillment & back office. We have our second office in Eden Prairy (US) with product development and fulfillment. Product assembly is done in Poland.

Time for you to take on some real responsibility in administration and reporting. We face many challenges and the road is not smooth. But the team consists of 25 creative and committed people who are changing the world as we speak. Our first product “the Q” has rocked the hearing aid market and our product pipeline is filled with more exciting aids – all patented. Our challenge is to grow out of the start-up phase into being a stable growth company. We have entities in NL and the US; we sell in more than 25 countries; we are a medical equipment company with all the regulatory compliance issues that come with that.

This is your chance to prove that you can actually apply what you have learned in a more complex environment – being responsible for administration and reporting.

• You are part of the ExSilent finance team (consisting of a NL Finance Admin and US Finance Manager) reporting to the CFO
• You are responsible for the NL finance administration and consolidation
• You are responsible for the month end closure process, where you calculate and report all financials for the 2 B.V.’s
• You prepare the management reporting and you derive and present insights from these reports
• You are a sparring partner for the CFO
• You prepare balance sheet verification and reconciliation
• You are part of the budget process and give budget feedback to budget owners
• You ensure that all financial data is in compliance with corporate accounting policies and IFRS
• You create the required accounting reports
• You prepare the reports towards the investors
• You accomplish this with the help of one person in your team, the NL Finance Admin

• You have a bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Economics
• You have 3-5 years of working experience in financial accounting
• You understand US and NL accounting complexities , consolidation and you know how to report for multiple countries
• You have a good understanding of and demonstrated commitment to internal control
• You have demonstrated commitment to continuous development of work processes
• You have knowledge of Exact or are a quick learner in working with new systems
• You have a good understanding of local taxation standards
• You are fluent in English and Dutch
• You are a team player and a problem solver
• You have good communication skills
