Research Analyst

What will you be doing?

The Analyst has a varied role, being involved in assignment execution, business development and knowledge management.

Assignment execution:
- Lead market mapping and market analyses
- Being a team member on assignments, e.g. joining client meetings and interviews, pulling together candidate target lists, get to know candidates
- Approaching (future) candidates: gathering intelligence and insight candidate knowledge on specific mandates but also pro-actively
- Exhaustively searching both internal and external resources to get to know companies and markets to identify relevant candidates / company information
- Being the thought partner for the consultant
- Pro-actively get to know young talent, drive the young talent agenda
- Populating client deliverables (e.g. status reports, mapping reports, pitch packs, long list reports)
- Assisting overseas colleagues with local office candidate ideas and sources

Business development:
- Monitoring and tracking relevant market developments, company updates and people moves, updating the internal database where necessary
- Alerting colleagues to key moves, market changes highlighting potential business development opportunities
- Researching and summarizing company, people and market profiles
- Preparing marketing presentations
- Supporting local office marketing events and other events
- Freedom to spend time on “own topic” – for your own development

Knowledge management:
- Proactively capturing knowledge/information from both internal and external sources
- Ensuring all assignment knowledge is in the database
- Ensuring the internal database contains relevant and accurate data
- Supporting initiatives to build knowledge in specific areas and working in teams to learn from each other
